Zombiewood.
Bringing a quirky zombie arcade game back from the dead.
CONTEXT
Zombiewood is a tongue-in-cheek, twin-stick arcade shooter from Gameloft. It stars a simple-minded stuntman-turned-actor whose goal is to shoot as many movies — and zombies — as inhumanly possible for a maniacal film director.WORK
As a Narrative Designer on the game, I was brought in later in development to overhaul the story — rewriting and re-recording the voice-over scripts for character barks and revising the quest, tutorial, and item copy. The result was a well-received title with fun gameplay and a memorable, irreverent story (and lots of puns).“Zombiewood has a special place in my heart because I love its sense of humor. I also love a good Hollywood spoof, and this one is just too funny.” — Apps Smart Review
“Zombiewood is a fantastic example of hybrid gaming, featuring a little bit of twin-stick shooting mixed with a top-down action battler that puts you in the role of a movie star gunning down disgusting creatures.”
